phew, what a dusty blog! and i am finally back!! yay!

I just came back from cambodia, it was really a fruitful trip and i learnt alot from all the team members and the Orphanes.
It really feels great to be in singapore. I never felt that i love singapore that much until i went to cambodia. Many thigns there are not as good as what we predicted. It was probably 10X -20X worse than Thailand - cheng mai.

Mr Ben cho and Ms audrey was leading our tour group. They were all great leaders and what is most interesting was that they were actually world's apart. Mr Cho was a real man, it was seen that he could adapt very easily to the living conditions etc. while on the other hand, ms lai was like a a rich tai tai. She seems to be suffering to adapt there.
Ms lai, was a great lady to talk to she was soft and always encourage us. Mr ben would always be the "bad guy" who is very hard on us. i can understand totally their intention thus i felt they make up a really good group.

As for my freinds, we are bascially separated into the Guys - EMO grp and the Girls - Strowee Grp. The guy were really cool, we have matured individuals like BOB to take care of us, Jeremy who is sensible which help alot when we want to do silly stuffs. LOL.
We have david the super fun scholar and of cuz my bros, brian, vedro, bson.

In many aspect, i felt that the girls were acutally stronger than the guys. for instance, Amilia, the girl i respect the most in the entire trip, she was always smiling and encouraging. Connie, one whom i tot was a tai tai but turn out *AHEM* lol (totally oppsite). Pei si who is super aggresive (lmao). Crystal who is the big sister of cuz my Shu yi who is always super sweet. hehe.
Pat the super good imitator!!. she really sounds like a cambodian kid. (i am God damn serious here..) haha.

This trip taught me alot of things. it taught me to appreaciate the ppl around me, the food, the place , the bus, the road, the fast food restaurants, the currency, the bed, the air con, the heater, the chicken, the coffee, the can drinks and many more!

The kid there was really very different from the orphans in singapore. the food they get is just one food and one rice. It was really bad as i doubt there will be enough nuetrients from jus that one dish of food :(. God is really being mean on them.

I dare make the conclusion to say that, many of the orphans i teach are smarter than us. Frrhter more, they are more hard working. i am very sure that they might be some one big in life if they were born in better places like USA, SINGAPORE, JAPAN and others. They tried very hard to gain knowledge while ppl like us in singpore, are enojoying our life, playing DOTA, CS and not appreciative about it.

Do you know that they cannot afford to go for english lesson which cost only $1 USD per month?
What is $1 usd to us? i guess we cannot even buy a packet of french fries with it. to them it means every thing. i Quote an incident which happens to my pal Jeremy. (Hope he don't mind)

one night, Jeremy was eating cup noodle alone at the dining hall. Being nice, germ (Jeremy name in short) called the orphan X(named X) to join him for a meal as there are extra cup noodles. X was really enjoying the meal he was delighted to taste such delight in his life. He ask germ how much does it cost. Germ replied - it cost arnd $0.5 usd. X was petrified. X said that he would never afford to eat that in his enitre life. Isn't it heart wrenching? How many of us actually felt that a cup noodle was a nice meal? i believe most of us will not be sastisfied even if we had a packet of chicken rice as dinner. Chicken to them is an luxuary they cannot afford.

in singapore, as long as you work, i am certain the govt will not let u starve. there, the govt can't do much even if u are starving. the cow, pig, chicken we see there are clearly suffering from malnutrientsion.

The only question i have is, who will help them? if we leave. Though i didn't cry,i it doesn't mean i don't feel any thing for them. I personally, would not donate money to beggar that beg for a living, as i felt that human should help themself before they expect others to help them. Therefore, if people are playing muscial instruments or selling tissues, i would definately help them, as they have tried.
however, in cambodia, i really wanted to help the orphans but i felt helpless. i am just a student w/o income. If people are trying hard to survive why can't we give them a chance?
to all reading my blog pls think about your lifestlye and hope it benefits you :)
